On November 25, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) welcomed a delegation from Shenzhen Advanced Technology Enterprise Development Association (SATEDA), led by Executive Chairman Shao Qi and Deputy Secretary-General Jiang Nan. Representatives from 12 affiliated enterprises visited SZTU and exchanged ideas of industry-academia-research cooperation. The meeting was joined by Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, president of SZTU, heads of relevant colleges and departments, and representatives from 12 Shenzhen-based enterprises, including Shenzhen Woer Heat-shrinkable Material Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Hartend Intellectual Property Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen SmartCity Technology Development Group Co., Ltd.

Prof. Ruan Shuangchen extended a warm welcome to the delegates and introduced SZTU’s founding history, running mode and enrollment. He said that SZTU learns experience from universities of applied sciences in Germany and Switzerland and aims to build itself into a high-level, internationalized and exemplary first-class university of applied sciences and train high-caliber engineers and designers with global vision, craftsmanship and capabilities of innovation and entrepreneurship. SZTU closely matches the needs of local industries, assists enterprises in solving core technological problems, provides quality human resources and promotes the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. By doing so, SZTU and enterprises can jointly promote the development of local industries.

Shao Qi, executive chairman of SATEDA, was impressed by the rapid development of SZTU. She is confident that SZTU’s unique school-running mode will be successful in training application-oriented students who are urgently needed by local enterprises. With the mission of “embarking on high-quality development together with enterprises”, SATEDA aims to promote technological innovation and deep integration of companies, universities and research institutes. She said that SATEDA would promote bilateral cooperation as a link between SZTU and the industry and as a cluster of Shenzhen-based enterprises.

A cooperation strategic framework agreement was signed between SZTU and SATEDA at the meeting. Both sides expressed the expectation of university-enterprise cooperation and looked forward to future cooperation. The two parties will equip students with practical skills through customized training plans and tailor-made exchange programs. SZTU and SATEDA will also join hands in establishing internship and practical training bases and HR training bases, carrying out scientific research, ensuring graduate employment, setting up majors and courses, and training teachers.

After the meeting, the delegation paid a visit to the IoT Innovation Laboratory, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Association, Racing Car Studio, Industrial Robot Laboratory and Clean Room of SZTU.
Established in November 2020, SATEDA was initiated by more than a hundred well-known enterprises. As a platform featuring extensive consultation, joint contribution, shared benefits and win-win results, it aims to provide high-quality service for enterprises. By working with SATEDA, SZTU takes a big step toward in-depth cooperation with many more Shenzhen-based enterprises.
