SZTU welcomes delegation from FHNW

On September 12, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) welcomed a visiting delegation from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), including three instructors, Stephan Jüngling, Yingbo Seiler, and Barbara Anette Ulrike Eisenbart-Becker, along with 15 postgraduate students. The purpose of the visit was to enhance academic exchanges and cooperation between the two universities, fostering mutual development in education and research.

Zeng Siyu, director of the International Cooperation and Student Affairs Office, expressed a warm welcome to the visitors and provided an overview of SZTU's development. On behalf of FHNW, Stephan expressed sincere gratitude for the hospitality and arrangements from SZTU and looked forward to in-depth exchanges for students.

Accompanied by students and staff members from SZTU, the delegation toured the College of Urban Transportation and Logistics, where they explored the Manless Supermarket Practice Base, Intelligent Connected Vehicle Lab, Racing Car Studio, and SF Smart Logistics Practice Base. Prof. Franz Raps, dean of College of Urban Transportation and Logistics, warmly welcomed the delegation and personally accompanied them on the tour. The Swiss visitors showed great interest in the university's innovative practices in intelligent transportation and logistics and highly praised the advanced facilities and experimental conditions of the college.

The delegation then proceeded to the Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing, where they visited the Sino-German Laboratory of Beer Brewing Process Control. Here, the Swiss visitors gained a detailed understanding of the entire beer brewing process and appreciated the college's achievements in research and technological innovation.

The visit concluded with a tour of the university's library. The unique architectural style and modern interior layout of the library left a deep impression on the delegation. The Swiss visitors showed keen interest in the library's extensive book collection and advanced information retrieval system, engaging in friendly exchanges with students from SZTU.

 

This visit deepened the friendship between SZTU and FHNW. Both universities expressed their anticipation for future collaboration in various fields to jointly cultivate students with an international perspective and innovative capabilities.
