2024 SZTU International Week launched

From September 23 to 27, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) is holding 2024 International Week on campus, inviting international guests to participate in academic and cultural exchange activities together with SZTUers, including over 60 professors and scholars as well as 40 international students from universities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Australia, the U.S., Singapore, etc. It marks the largest number of international participants ever since the International Week was first launched in 2018.

As a featured event that highlights SZTU’s international talent training mode, the International Week offers students a wide range of international courses given by international professors, in line with SZTU’s disciplinary features and local industrial needs. This week, 60 international professors and 24 professors from SZTU is offering a total of 133 courses, including 78 specialized courses tailored for students from different majors and 55 multi-disciplinary lectures for all freshmen. The number of students signing up for the courses reaches 4,679.

On the evening of September 23, SZTU held a welcome reception for the international guests on campus, attended by Vice President Ming Zhong, and Founding President Ruan Shuangchen, as well as the heads of different colleges and departments.

Prof. Ming Zhong welcomed the guests and thanked the international partners for their long-term support and assistance to the development of SZTU. Through such a great gathering for both old and new friends, he hoped them enhance communication with each other for common development.

Besides the international courses, a variety of academic, scientific and cultural activities will also take place during the International Week, including Bavarian Cultural Night, International Forum, Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Festival, and “Intangible Cultural Heritage into Campus” event.
