The 2024 “NIO Cup” Formula Student Electric China (FSEC) and “NIO Cup” Formula Student Autonomous China (FSAC) has concluded in Hefei, Anhui Province recently. Racing Car Studio from Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) competed against about 100 teams from universities in China, Germany, Singapore and other countries over six days, securing second place in FSEC and winning a prize worth 170,000 yuan for global competitions.

SZTU Racing Car Studio took part in the competition with the electric formula racing car, Aurora-24, and secured second place in FSEC. This marks the second time that it won top three since they began competing in 2021.
Racing Car Studio has accomplished a great deal this year. At the 2024 Baja SAE China, both the fuel-powered Baja Hurricane-24 and the electric Baja Flash-24 from Racing Car Studio secured national second prizes. Additionally, in the national finals of the 26th China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition, the AutoBots unmanned racing car team earned the national first, second, and third prizes.

SZTU Racing Car Studio was established in September 2018, led by College of Urban Transportation and Logistics of SZTU. Team members have developed their own fuel-powered Baja off-road racing cars, electric Baja off-road racing cars, electric formula racing cars and unmanned racing cars. The studio has now formed six car teams and has won a total of 35 national awards and 33 provincial awards as of October 2024.
