On December 12th, the 2018 Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) Comprehensive Sports Games was held at the campus sports field. Prof. Ruan Shuangchen, President of SZTU, Prof. Xu Gang, Ms. Sun Xiangyu, Prof. Zhang Yanhong, all Vice Presidents of SZTU, attended the opening ceremony, along with heads of six colleges and various departments. Prof. Zhang Yanhong hosted the day’s opening ceremony and nearly all the faculty members and students of SZTU actively participated in the sports carnival.

During his speech delivered at the opening ceremony, Prof. Ruan introduced SZTU’s past efforts in physical education, saying that extensive participation in physical activities amongst students and faculty members not only strengthened their physique, but also helped them to bond with each other.

The 2018 SZTU Comprehensive Sports Meeting had 18 teams, of which 6 were consisted of SZTU faculty members and the other 12 students. A total of about 1200 people took part in the football match, obstacle race, medley relay etc.

For student teams, after badminton, basketball, football matches etc., the Sino-German College of Intelligent Manufacturing won the first place with the highest accumulated points. As for the faculty teams, the first Joint Team took the crown with the highest scores after the whole day’s competition.
