Shenzhen Polytechnic delegation visits SZTU

On July 16, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) welcomed a delegation from Shenzhen Polytechnic (SZPT), led by Secretary of the Party Committee and President Yang Xinbin and Vice President Ma Xiaoming. They had a meeting with Prof. Zhang Jihong, secretary of the Party committee of SZTU, Prof. Xu Gang, vice president of SZTU, and heads of related departments.

Prof. Zhang Jihong pointed out that SZTU strives to be an internationalized, high-level, exemplary and first-class university of applied sciences. Since its foundation, SZTU has learned school-running experience from first-class universities of applied sciences in developed countries such as Germany and Switzerland. It attempts to carry out university-enterprise cooperation and set up disciplines closely matching the industrial needs so as to cultivate high-quality technical talents.

Yang Xinbin said that as a newly-built university in Shenzhen, SZTU has leapfrogged in just a few years. SZPT has made great progress in various fields in recent years, focusing on its close relations with the industry as a vocational college. SZPT will learn the experience from SZTU, further deepen the exchanges and cooperation between the two parties and provide better vocational education.

Participants exchanged ideas on campus construction, campus culture, specialty setup, university-enterprise cooperation, student training, teaching staff recruitment, etc. Both sides are looking forward to closer cooperation, more exchanges and common development in the future.
