On May 20, Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) held the 7th Technology & Research Forum and Postgraduate Admission Info-Session, with the theme of “International Vision, Innovation-driven, and Technology-led”. The event aims to build a platform for high-quality postgraduate academic exchanges, broaden students’ academic horizons, enhance academic innovation awareness, display the features and outstanding graduates of all colleges and schools, and provide undergraduates with comprehensive information about SZTU’s postgraduate entrance exam. After the preliminary selection of the sub-forums by SZTU’s colleges and schools, 10 students were selected into the final.

At the forum, the 10 graduate students presented their scientific research achievements covering eight fields, including the high-mobility underwater autonomous inspection robot developed by Liu Bo’s team, and the UAV maritime target detection technology based on heterogeneous images by Wei Dong’s team.

In addition, this event sets up two venues. The indoor venue was to carry out the academic forum and postgraduate admission info-session, showing the graduates’ academic achievements and the characteristics of each degree programs. The outdoor venue was to set up postgraduate admission publicity booths for related colleges and schools to promote their programs and answer questions among the students.

According to Prof. Zhai Jianpang, dean of the Graduate School, the forum not only enriched the academic and scientific research atmosphere on campus, but also broke down the information barriers between undergraduate and postgraduate students, increasing the channels for students to obtain information about postgraduate entrance exams.
